Collins, we had the opportunity to take a tour of the Avery home which I had remembered from my childhood; Mr. (Edgar, son of Franklin and Sara) Avery used to give us lifesaver candy when we got out of church. I was around 8 yrs. old; I was born in 1945. Thank you for bringing to life old memories."

For a very modest budget, we have a large impact on our community based on the number of people participating in our programs: touring the Avery House and the Water Works; attending our special events such as Valentines Day and Fourth of July celebrations and our Holiday Open House; viewing the Annual Historic Homes Tour, holding weddings and other special events at the Avery House, and numerous other activities.

Our budget heavily relies on our financial supporters. We would very much appreciate your spreading the word about us with your family and friends as well as any businesses and their employees. Let them know about our historic Avery House and Water Works and holding personal and company events at the Avery House.
